Councillor Reverend Ewan Aitken, Leader of the City of Edinburgh Council at the time, chaired the event. The debate focused on some key questions facing our city:
- Can we balance our freedom to travel by air with our responsibility to cut carbon emissions?
- Can Edinburgh's economy continue to expand in the face of Global Warming?
- What can we do in our city to make a positive difference?
