What support do we offer?
We provide high-quality, progressive and flexible support that meets the educational and behavioural needs and best interests of vulnerable children and young people.
We are also available for consultation with fellow professionals on strategies for working with and supporting vulnerable children and young people.
Who can receive our services?
We provide an educational service for children and young people:
- who are in hospital
- who are at home but unable to attend school for medical reasons
- with mental health difficulties
- who are Looked After and Looked After and Accommodated
- who are excluded from school and awaiting appropriate placement
- who are on the verge of exclusion from their educational placement
- pregnant schoolgirls and young mums
- Gypsy/Travellers
- who are involved with the Youth Justice System
- who are referred to our ‘Aim High’ to boost behaviour and self-esteem
We manage, support and give advice to:
- tutors for Looked After and Accommodated Children
We allocate, support and give advice to:
¨ auxiliaries appointed to support Looked After Children in school
We support and give advice to:
¨ foster carers for Looked After and Accommodated Children
